Cultural producer, facilitator, marketing officer, administrator and performing artist.
I am a Hampshire based cultural producer, a social activist and sometimes a clown. I work in the arts and help make creative events happen. I project manage, create social media campaigns, facilitate, perform and more.
Most of my projects revolve around a social justice issue - whether that’s helping to create a theatre show raising awareness around the scale of childhood sexual abuse or co-producing a festival about young people’s rights.
As a performer I create intimate autobiographical works that confront and question the limitations of my body. My work currently addresses and interrogates the taboo subject which is my body, inviting audience and community members to discuss the fat female form.
I'm committed and determined to enhance access to culture and fun for all, and promote its positive effect on personal development. Since 2016 I have been working closely with, and tailoring projects / development activities for, under-represented and marginalised groups - this usually results in a public event / artwork of some kind.
I have participated in plenty of programmes around leadership, social action and change making with organisations like the Southbank Centre, Drivers for Change and The Arts Development Company (Culture+). I am a Rights, Risks and Reputations Ambassador and have led creative conversations about challenging a risk averse Dorset.
I sit on the board for: Viv Gordon Company CIC, Landance CIC & am an observer on The Arts Development Company's board.
