Dave (The Shouting Mute) is a performance poet, artist and director. 

He is an activist and he promotes inclusive theatre practices, self expression and creativity for everyone - he aims to show that the arts belong to us all.

 

Dave has been commissioned by Activate who Produce Inside Out Dorset to make a new site responsive performative walk & installation for their 2021 festival.

Dave's current working title is ‘The environment and people, what happens?’ and I'm working with him as Producer / Project Manager.

Dave will use this commission to collect stories from the farming and rural community, focussing on their relationship with the landscape, their views on climate change and the impact on their local environment. He will create a new poem for every person he interviews which will result in an interactive performance walk and a sound installation. This commission is also supported by Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Artful Scribe.
