As part of the South Dorset Ridgeway Landscape Partnership (funded by HLF) I recruited 10 students (of mixed ages) from IPACA (now known as Atlantic Academy) to respond to the South Dorset Ridgeway through the medium of dance.

Working alongside the Artistic Director of Landance, and inspired by the geology and history of the Neolithic and Bronze age barrows on the ridgeway, the students created four performances for film in two days.

The students learnt about the geology and history of the barrows through a site tour with Senior Archaeologist for Dorset County Council (Steve Wallis), learnt how to work in a new context (outdoors and site responsive) with Artistic Director of Landance (Ella Huhne) and learnt how to edit film footage in a separate session with me.

The footage, shot by Richard Tomlinson and edited by the group, was then exhibited at b-side's Outpost.
