As a Dorset Cultural Education Researcher I was working to the Cultural Education Challenge brief set out by the arts council in October 2015. This research project was commissioned by The Arts Development Company and Wave Arts on behalf of our bridge organisation RIO. 

For this project I mapped creative opportunities for young people in Dorset, Bournemouth & Poole. I met with a whole range of young people over Dorset, Bournemouth & Poole (I went to schools, colleges, universities, arts venues, village halls, youth clubs...etc) to find out what creative opportunities the young people were currently engaging in and what creative opportunities they'd like to engage in. 
 

The research gathered was reported back to Cultural Organisations in Dorset to enable them to improve, support and build on the already existing offer for young people in a useful way.
